How this tracking works

Your order is followed by USPS scans. Each time your envelope passes through a USPS sorting machine it gets scanned, and this page updates to match. Because those scans happen at processing facilities along the route — not at every single step — the timeline and delivery date are an approximation, and your package may arrive a little earlier or later. For letter-mail, USPS doesn't always record a final “delivered” scan, so the last update you see may simply be its final stop near you.
